Kevin Rudd has been abused by a musician, furious the Labor leader’s election campaigning interrupted his performance at a Tasmanian senior citizens’ club.
It was all smiled earlier on a street walk through Devonport as Mr Rudd introduced his wife and daughter to shoppers, including Ricky Ponting's great aunt Joan.
But his arrival at the Devonport Senior Citizens Club prompted a walk out by three members of the choir furious he’d interrupted their performance, and one abused him to his face, calling him a selfish bastard.
Mr Rudd played down the campaign stumble.
And then made amends by joining the rest of the choir in singing a seekers medley.
