LATEST FEATURES

There will be moustaches aplenty across Australia next month and it’s all for a good cause.

Tomorrow marks the start of Movember for tens of thousands of men around the world.

Official Movember spokesperson Jim Slattery is urging men to let their moustaches grow to raise money and awareness for diseases like prostate cancer.

“The mo is like our version of the pink ribbon – it’s a hairy ribbon,” he said.

Prostate cancer claims the lives of more than 2,700 Australian men every year and organisers hope Movember will encourage men to talk about their health.

Already three times as many people have registered for this year's event compared to last.
