Footage has emerged which shows fallen footballer Ben Cousins allegedly sniffing something ‘suspicious’ off a table at an apartment on the Gold Coast.

Channel Nine’s A Current Affair, has been following Cousins around the Gold Coast in hope that the AFL star would slip up.

Tonight ACA released footage which showed cousins innocently enough, drinking with a group of people on the veranda of a Gold Coast apartment.

The footage then became suspicious when Cousins leaned over and appeared to be sniffing something off a table.

Cousins has recently returned from a stint in rehab in the US, which raises the question: why is he holidaying at the Gold Coast during Schoolies week?

Leave the guy alone. Haven't you got anything better to do. Its up to him to decide what he wants to do with his future and not the media.

I agree, Now that Cousins isn't playing football, he can do whatever he wants. How about instead of watching his every move, and making outlandish stamenets about him "sniffing" something "suspicious" off a "table", we concentrate on the thousands of school kids taking ecstacy, cocaine, GHB, Acid, Ice, Speed, Heroin and drinking excessively at schoolies week? surely that is of more concern to the public than the wheelings and dealings of one fully grown man. media- get it right.

Don't be so stupid, I am sick of people defending this 'retard'. He has a responsibility to the young kids of this country as a 'role model'. Children of this country who aspire to be a 'great' AFL player is forced to watch this 'retard' act like an idot. They will grow up, play AFL and think that 'drugs' and drinking is what you do. He comes out and blames what he does on a 'problem'. How about you be a man and take respnsibility for your actions. This guy is a loser.

The only reason "young kids of this country" have to see what Cousins is doing is because the media are following him around like a bad smell. I don't see all the other AFL players who have knowingly been using drugs or being violent being followed around and harrassed. Can anyone say scapegoat?

Don't you think that Benny Cousins knew that you pariahs were out there somewhere with nothing better to do then stalk his every move? I think he was taking the mickey out of you lot and like all idiots with a camera you fell for it.Grow up A.C.A. and start doing some real reporting about what the general public need and want to see eg: Bad social behaviour, Companies that " Rip the public off, Maniac drivers on the road, etc. ( Get a life )

When Ben asked the media to leave him alone while he recovers what part of that did they not understand.? Is ACA that hard up for stories that they have to follow the poor boy everywhere he is human being and is free just like the rest of us to do what he wants when he wants

Why should they leave him alone? He is in the media spotlight & should learn to grow up himself. He is taking the mickey out of all Aussies.

He says he wants to be rehabilitated and recover. The AFL fell for it hook line and sunk. His not gunna stop doing drugs, if he was serious hed be in rehab instead his still partying and making a mockery of the AFL drugs regulations. He is the perfect role model for kids, get drugged, drunk and have a good time and let the medical professionals sought u out in 20 years when youre brain is damaged beyond all repair Guess the AFL are saying that doing drugs is ok by their stance

Why are we publicising everything that Ben Cousins does? It is making a focal point for bad behaviour that we really dont need shoved down the throats of our teenagers. Leave the poor bastard alone and lets pay this amount of attention to something that is really important.

for the love of god, this media stalking crap is too much to bear, some of the reports are saying hes been partying with hundreds of schoolies is a load of crap, he was staying in an apartment nowhere near the celebrations at all, i was on the gold coast the same time last year, but was a few kilometers away from the main schoolies hangouts - minding my own business and enjoying my holiday without a thought that it was schoolies week. He just happens to be in the same area, and is not "partying

If Ben C decides he can no longer handle this unfair media harrasment and does something really bad then the media will be accountable. The media have no right to be in his face or anyone elses to this extent it is gutter journilism at its best. How do these people sleep at night or maybe they don't as they are too busy trying to destroy other peoples lives. Take a reality check......

Why doesn't everyone just leave him alone. Okay he has made a few mistakes, haven't we all. As if he doesn't know he is being watched' - You fools ! So he is allowed to take a holiday wherever he wishes. Remember the AFL and the Eagles don't want anything to do with him ! And as far as him being a role model for our children believe me they don't need to see Benny taking drugs to think it is cool they only need to look in their own backyard. Unfortunately Ben is no different to others.

For those of you who continue to criticize Ben Cousins and everything he does. Get a life. There are much more important things happening in the world that we should be worrying about; such as the election, and as previously stated, the issue of teenagers and irresponsible partying during Schoolies Week. Ben Cousin's is just like any other person, he is not immune to drug addiction! For those who bring up the point of Cousins being a role model, he stopped being a role model a long time ago.

I don’t care what the laws say. In my book it’s more illegal to spy inside someone’s private balcony and lounge room than whatever Ben cousins was doing in there.

I agree with Donnie. Additionally, Ben is a spoilt sporting brat, with too much money and too much self importance. Yes, there are many better things to discuss - Ben is NOT one of them!

The people in glass houses who moralise, intrude on our privacy, and tell us how we should live our lifes are more of a problem to our society than ben cousins will ever be.ooh thats right its the stupid parents out there who beleive there parenting skills wernt sufficient enough that a footballer (such a position of mental brilliance) is going to influence there children as a roll model.
