The Prime Minister's top aides have apologised to Brendan Nelson for being rude during his apology speech.

Labor staffers Tim Gleason and Lachlan Harris faced the back wall when Doctor Nelson delivered his speech to the stolen generations.

Dr Nelson's told Channel Nine, their actions didn't contribute anything positive to the historic moment.

“There’s no place for that in Australia, these are professional people, that was rudeness in the extreme.”

“I appreciate the apology I have received from them, I haven’t had Mr Rudd apologise to me but others will make their judgement about that.”

If it takes Rudd as long to write this "sorry" Brendan, then I wouldn't be holding my breath! (or maybe he'll just express "regret"). I hope his speech writers are as good as the ones he used for yesterday!

Dont hold your breath waiting Brendan, unless you call a press conference, the show pony MR Rudd wont know how to perform and then he'll need a written speech put in his hands and a mirror to practice in. By the way did his staff members use the word Sorry ,because if not it really doesnt mean a thing does it . An apology isnt an apology unless it contains SORRY. The words sorrow and regret mean nothing in the Australian vocabulary.

Bolts & Co: Nelson has a bigger problem as it seems two Liberal MP's turned their backs on Rudd during his speech. So we will eagerly wait and see if NELSON can make them appologise to Rudd. The chances of that happening? ZILTCH!!

Someone tell Half+1 to suck eggs. His rudeness was the catalyst for this business. Noe two staffers erred with protocol, what about the blatant bad manners of members of Half+1's team. Outrageous and outdated attitudes. And what can you say about Half+1 Nelson's speech? It was embarrassing, the fool has no class and no sense of appropriateness. Talk about being an apologist, Half+1 Nelson is an apologist for the child thieves. It's Nelson who must apologise, Shameful.

When its shown on video that Rudd's staff led/orchestrated the protest, I wonder where all the do-gooder holier than thou lefties will hide? Me thinks Rudd does not have clean hands?

Frankly these petty people who have nothing better to do than complain about this non issue are pathetic. It wouyld be impossible to truly act disrespectfully enough to Brenguns speech, If the libs are going to try to maintain these apalling racist attitudes they are going to have to get used to the fact that very few people are ever going to respect them. Shame on Nelson, Shame on the Liberal Party, and Shame on their supporters.
