Sydney's run down and forgotten laneways will undergo a major makeover as part of Sydney council's plan to boost the city's culture.
Four laneways between Martin Place and Circular Quay in the CBD will be the first to stage new and secret bars, cafes and clubs.
Sydney lord mayor Clover Moore says it will change the scope of the city's entertainment.
“We think that our laneway strategy can add a really interesting layout to our lives in Sydney that we’ve been missing out on.”
“We’ll have a chance to do that with the change to the liquor laws which is a critical change.”
