Two-year-old dies after being found in cardiac arrest

3/03/2008 8:43:00 PM.  | Laura Tunstall
A two year old boy has died after being found inside a house in Sydney's south west, and police are treating the death as suspicious.

It was ambulance officers who called police to the house on Edward street at The Oaks near Camden around 5.10pm Monday.

They had received an emergency call about a two-year-old boy who was in cardiac arrest when paramedics arrived.

The boy died shortly after arriving at Campbelltown hospital.

The house has been declared a crime scene as police investigate foul-play.

At this stage they do not know what caused the boy's illness, however the child did have a history of medical problems.

Forensics have been called to the house to make a thorough search for evidence.
