Rudd seeks study of soil’s role in carbon storage

4/03/2008 11:37:00 AM.  |
The federal government's decided to investigate how soil management by farmers can help tackle climate change, by examining how carbon storage in soils can be enhanced.

The investigation will be added to the 130 million dollar Australia's Farming Future initiative, to help primary industries cope with climate change.

The prime minister says the government needs to investigate how practices like low or no-till soil management might give agriculture a role in carbon reduction markets.

Good, "down to earth" politics! This will really help get on top of the inflation legacy!

Yeah, literally a very "down to earth" initiative that will greatly assist the "working families" in their mortgage stress and high petrol/grocery prices.
