Dance gets nasty

11/03/2008 12:00:00 PM.  | Tim Brunero
Squeaky clean hit show So You Think You Can Dance has hit its first patch of controversy after a recently punted dancer was overheard bitching about other dancers in a Sydney cafe.

Sydney dancer Kassy Lee was overheard complaining in a Surry Hills coffee house about the voting process which led to her ejection from the show News Limited reports today.

The 23-year-old Sydneysider was annoyed ‘bad’ dancers remained while she and partner Hilton Denis were the second couple eliminated.

Industry insiders are said to be frustrated that Sydney has not got behind its representatives on the show.

And in more sounding off, the sister of former favourite Jack Chambers said he was would be better off with a new partner.

Jess Chambers believes Jack’s partner Demi Sorono is out of her depth and that Kate would be a better partner for Jack.

Jess Chambers, herself an accomplished dancer, also revealed there was bad blood behind the scenes with two dancers not getting on with the rest of the group.

Meanwhile, Rhys has moved from second place to bookies favourite at $4.50 while Jack has moved from third to second at $5.50 and previously ‘also ran’ Henry has moved into third at $6.00.

In last night’s show Laura and Sermsah were voted off.
