The colour gold is not foreign to Summer Heights High's director of the performing arts, Greg Gregson. Who could forget his finale for 'Mr G the musical' where he stripped down to a scintillating gold singlet to lead into "The Smell of Life"?
But now, Mr G will need to adjust to another shade of gold. It’s been confirmed his single "Naughty girl" has sold in excess of 40,000 units - making the spin-off hit certified gold in Australia.
"I'm beyond thrilled. I always knew I'd be huge but not this huge. I'm wearing my Gold shirt to school for a week starting tomorrow." Mr G said.
And if this weekend's Logies are in favor of his good friend Chris Lilley, there could be more gold than Mr G will know what to do with.
