Is this the latest outlet for the sad and lonely? Is it for those seeking their 15 seconds of fame or purely for exhibitionists?
It's the YouTube Naked Vlog Campaign and it's bursting out all over the world wide web.
Started by American user "Chris3ff", the idea is to tag three other users nominating them to bare all online: whilst of course engaging in the highly intellectual discussion typical of conventional web-logs.
The simple idea has exploded into thousands of replies in the United States.
And before you say only in America, it's caused the clothes to come off in countries such as Italy, New Zealand and even right here in Australia.
In the current climate of fear for our children's safety online, opinion would be divided on whether it's a bit of light-hearted fun or an open door for something more sinister.
But the Vloggers themselves are calling it an online naked revolution - and indeed at times it can be quite revolting.
Nudity and news have a longstanding partnership.
In Canada, Naked News is in its eighth year of production, with New Zealand set to launch its own version on free-to-air TV this year.
