Leading Australian jockey Blake Shinn has been handed a one-month suspension after testing positive to banned drug ephedrine.
The 20-year-old tested positive to a test following races at Rosehill Gardens on March 8, and pleaded guilty at an inquiry into the charge yesterday. He will miss just one month thanks to his prior clean record.
Ephedrine can be used as an appetite suppressant and a stimulant, mimicking adrenaline.
