59, 000 children across Australia have attempted to break a Guiness World Record today by skipping simultaneously for 3 minutes.
Although they won't know for several months whether thet have been successful, the organisers are confident they have broken the previous record held in the UK of just under 8, 000 participants.
Stephanie Golman, from So You Think You Can Dance, says being a dancer helps her appreciate the importance of fitness.
"As a dancer, I know how important it is to keep fit and the Jump Rope for Heart helps kids stay active while having fun at the same time, which is great."
Gladiators' "Outlaw" also had fun, with the kids trying to teach him different skipping tricks like pretzel and "double-under".
With at 1 in 5 kids overweight or obese he stresses the importance of incorporating fitness into family time.
"By doing simple things like eating healthier food, going for a walk, or playing with your kids in the park, you'll help reduce your chance of your family being affected by heart disease."
