Man accused of Star City Casino shooting was on bail

A Sydney court has heard the man accused of yesterday's Star City shooting was on bail at the time of the attack.

37-year-old Todd Williams Devaney, faces five charges in relation to yesterday’s brazen shooting at Pyrmont.

It’s also been revealed he was on bail for another matter at the time.

It’s alleged Devaney got out of a cab, told him to wait, and then went to the fifth floor of Star City, and opened fire on his 28-year-old former girlfriend.

She’s stable in Prince Alfred Hospital with gunshots wounds to the abdomen.

Devaney was arrested soon after, it’s alleged he had a police badge, disguise and three guns on him when police picked him up.

The accused didn’t appear in court today, he faces a psychiatric examination.

He has been refused bail, to reappear on the 19th of June.
