SA police say a body believed to be missing three year old Perth boy Imran Zilic has been found in a mineshaft in South Australia.
The toddler hadn't been seen since he was taken from Perth to the SA opal mining town of Coober Pedy by his father, Aliya Zilic, on April 23.
Major Crime Detective Inspector Doug Barr says police found the body this morning in a shaft, about 47km south of Coober Pedy.
He says all indications are that it's the body of Imran Zilic, but formal identification will be up to the state coroner.
Police have been scouring the region since Mr Zilic was picked up alone in the outback WA town of Kununurra last week.
He's being held in Perth under a mental health order after refusing to cooperate with police.
