Woman stabbed in Bathurst, police search for man

Police are hoping to speak to a man over the stabbing death of a woman near Bathurst on Friday night.

The 39-year-old remains under police guard in hospital after an operation on what appears to be self-inflicted stab wounds to his stomach.

Officers have examined the crime scene throughout the night and have taken statements from neighbours.
