The Victorian Liberal Party is in turmoil after a bun fight over a derogatory website attacking the party's leader and claims of anti-semitism in its top ranks.
Furious Victorian Opposition Leader Ted Baillieu has vowed to weed out the trouble makers, claiming there were "cancerous" elements within Liberal ranks who were out to get him.
It was today revealed that Liberal staffers were involved with a website that brands Mr Baillieu lazy and incompetent.
Two campaign officers have been fired, and the party has launched an internal campaign to quell disloyalty and discontent in its ranks.
Outgoing Liberal Party State Director Julian Sheezel today confirmed the officers were sacked, and an investigation was continuing.
"It does appear that other Liberal Party members may be involved in making contributions to this site," he told the Herald Sun.
This morning further allegations came to light that a Liberal candidate was called "a greedy Jew" in an email by a senior party figure after requesting more campaign flyers during the last state election.
