Rebecca's eviction costs punters dearly

In a Big Brother first a housemate has virtually voted herself off the Channel Ten juggernaut last night claiming other housemates “wanted it more.”

The 23-year-old was who had double nomination points to dish, after becoming “head of house” by winning the Friday night games, voted for herself – virtually ensuring she was evicted.

Under the new voting system housemates have to choose from three of their own nominated by the public to leave which this week was Rory, Ben and Rebecca.

The skimpy waitress, who had had an unremarkable stint in the famous Gold Coast house, had complained of wanting to leave in previous weeks.

But on the weekend at a party for her birthday Rebecca caused controversy by fighting with housemate Dixie and forming a new alliance with fellow breast-enhanced housemate Brigitte.

Rebecca’s eviction has caused another change in the betting market on who will win the show.

Online bookie Lasseters Sportsbook has Dubbo girl Renee slated to win the show at $3.50 – taking over from squeaky-voiced Travis ($6), who is now third-favourite, behind Nobbi ($5).

“Renee is popular and has both the boys and girls onside in the house, so if she is ever in the bottom three it appears unlikely she’ll be voted out,” said Lasseters’ chief Gerard Daffy.

Last night’s eviction proved very costly to punters with much of the money wagered going to Dixie and Bianca to get the punt.
