Chaser boys take tricks to America

The boys from The Chaser’s War On Everything could soon be tormenting American politicians after talks with American network Fox to shoot a pilot.

And somewhat ironically it may be their infamous APEC stunt that caused headlines around the world that gave the comedy troupe their lucky break.

The offer to shoot a US pilot offer has been around since earlier this year but the team have had their hands full with the tour of their national stage show The Chaser’s Age Of Terror Variety Hour.

Executive Producer and star Julian Morrow says the devil is in the detail with the team unwilling to water-down their winning formula or to have others play their parts in a US version of the show.

“It can be a tough battle but it’s an agenda that has worked in Australia,” says Morrow.

“And things are still in the pilot state which kind of involves figuring out what they want and whether it’s something we want to do.”

“At the moment we’re having a lot of wonderfully clichéd LA-style conversations,” Morrow told News Limited.

With the American election looming at the end of this year it is highly likely the group will return to television either here on in the US to cover the event with their unique brand of satire.
