Ray Martin is set to spill the beans on his 40-year career in the media, after Random House won the bidding war to publish his autobiography.
Random House says the book is slated for a Christmas 2009 release, but won't disclose how much the deal is worth.
The 63-year-old started his career with the ABC in 1969, before joining the Nine Network in 1978 to launch 60 Minutes.
He quit the Nine Network in February this year.
