After allegations Tania Zaetta had sexual relations with defense personnel in Afghanistan in April, work has dried up for the Australian actress, her agent Max Markson said.
"She's had a dreadful two weeks, she's lost four kilograms, she's been vomiting," Mr. Markson told Fairfax.
And while Zaetta has accepted an apology from Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston in regard to the false rumours, Markson said they have taken a drastic toll on Zaetta's career.
He estimates the actress will lose "definitely $1 million" as a result of the "cruel slur".
Houston admitted that no quantifiable evidence exists that Zaetta fraternized with Australian soldiers.
The suggestions were originally attributed to fellow tourer Rose Tattoo singer Angry Anderson.
Anderson denied making the claim, which was referred to in a leaked document to Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon.
However, Markson says Anderson's involvement with the slurs was "common knowledge", and asked the singer to come forward to provide an apology to his client.
"I like Angry. He's a good man, but I think he should just come out and say sorry and move on." he said.
