‘Platoon’ director Oliver Stone has lampooned American President George W. Bush, in a promotional poster for his upcoming biopic about the current US President.
The poster accentuates President Bush's famous gaffes which have been widely used to ridicule the U.S leader.
"They misunderestimated me; Families is where our nation takes hope, where wings take dream; I hear there are rumours on the internets that we are going to have a draft; I know the human being and fish can co-exist peacefully" it states.
Stone is putting the finishing touches to the biographical film, starring Josh Brolin as President Bush, and while the poster makes fun of the "goofy" president, he hasn't set out to make an "anti-Bush" polemic.
Although Stone has made his intention clear about how the President will be portrayed, it doesnt mean that Bush will be getting off lightly.
"America has defined itself in the early 21st century as a cowboy state. George W Bush has hyperbolically expressed all the cowboy mentality the world holds of America." Stone said in an interview to Screen Daily.
'W' is set for release in late 2008.
