Pete Wentz "hates" his birthday.

The Fall Out Boy rocker, who turned 29 yesterday (05.05.08), dreads his special day because getting presents makes him nervous.

He said: "The truth is I hate my birthday. I don't like it at all. It's because I realised I'm bad at receiving presents. I'm really bad at receiving presents so I get really nervous around my birthday and I really don't want people to give me presents."

Pete recently revealed he is "excited" about the prospect of new wife Ashlee Simpson giving birth to the couple's first child later this year.

He said: "I'm genuinely a nervous person in general but I'm really excited to be a dad. The first time I ever went to the doctor's office and heard the baby's heartbeat, I felt totally content and at peace with everything."

Despite previously denying pregnancy rumours, the couple wrote on Pete's website friendsorenemies.com last month: "We wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm we are expecting our first child.

"This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

Pete and 23-year-old Ashlee married in a secret ceremony on May 17 at her parents' home.
