Four teenagers have been arrested and another is in hospital with a broken arm following a high speed police chase through the Blue Mountains overnight.

Police spotted the group in a stolen car on the Great Western Highway at Blaxland and began a pursuit after the teens failed to stop.

The chase came to an abrupt end though when the car allegedly hit the gutter of a driveway at Emu Heights before rolling on impact, and clipping the edge of a nearby house.

Four people inside the car aged between 14 and 16 were arrested at the scene.

A 15 –year-old passenger has been taken to hospital for emergency surgery.
