New Zealand folk funnymen Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, otherwise known as The Flight Of The Conchords, could be joined by a very special Friend in the next series of their show - A list actress Jennifer Aniston.
The runaway success of their first HBO series has led to the confident commission of a new batch of episodes, which will focus on the long running competition between Australia and New Zealand.
Adding icing to the cake is the rumour that 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston could be involved.
"To think that we have had calls from Jennifer Aniston's people saying she really likes the show and Steven Spielberg requesting a copy of the series, it's pretty crazy," McKenzie said to News Limited from Los Angeles.
"We have just started ten weeks of writing the second series and we are definitely going to explore the rivalry between Australia and New Zealand at a Government ambassadorial level. One storyline is one of us ending up in a relationship with an Australian."
However, with the hype of a new series comes the nervousness of the writing stage, which Bret says will be challenging.
"We'd need some time to develop new material. It's like the second album syndrome. It might take a lot longer" he told The Star Ledger.
McKenzie also stated that the band had used up "97 percent of their material" in the original series and live shows - so from now until the premier in January 2009, they might just need a little help from their friends.
