Cancer experts are cautious of a new test to determine if a women is carrying breast cancer genes.
According to University of Cambridge research, a simple mouth swab would tell whether women are carrying seven newly found breast cancer genes and determine their likelihood of getting the disease.
But Associate Professor John Boyages from the Breast Cancer Institute says the test won't prove if a woman will actually get cancer.
"You may have the gene and not get breast cancer and you may not have the gene and still get breast cancer," he said.
"The really important thing is for women, particularly those over 50, to have a mammogram every two years."
