Greg Norman splurges $2m on wedding

29/06/2008 8:18:00 AM.  |
Greg Norman and Chris Evert are reported to have spent around $2 million on their ultra-exclusive weekend wedding in the Bahamas due to take place today.

The Australian golfing great and American tennis legend have spared no expense on their two-day extravaganza to be held on Paradise Island flying in 100 guests from around the world to stay at the booked out Ocean Club hotel.

Norman and Evert have been forced to move the ceremony to the Blue Shark Golf Club because of the intense media interest.

The lavish reception is still expected to be held in a huge air-conditioned marquee on the Ocean Club's estate and promises to be the biggest celebrity wedding for an Australian since James Packer married Erica Baxter on the French Riviera in June last year.

Norman's 22-year-old son Gregory will be his best man while Evert's sister Clare Evert-Shane will be her maid of honour.

Norman's daughter Morgan-Leigh and Evert's three sons will also be there.
