Sydney police are hopeful a new action plan for the New South Wales suburb of Rosemeadow will see a decrease in incidents of violence.

The south west Sydney suburb has been plagued with problems, such as rocks being thrown at buses, drug raids and riots in housing commission estates.

The new plan will see the area turned around with renovations, new street lighting and a community centre.

Superintendent Stuart Smith said they could not rule out evicting problem tenants as well.

"At this stage I can't comment on where that direction will take us, however in that area we’ve certainly made it clear that if you deal drugs we'll certainly ask for your eviction," he said.
