Police have finished their investigation into the Iguanagate affair and their findings are in the hands of the DPP.
More than a month after the confrontation at the Iguana Joe’s nightspot, police have interviewed all parties involved, including NSW frontbencher John Della Bosca and his wife, federal MP Belinda Neal.
The investigation focussed on statutory declarations signed by witnesses giving very different accounts of what happened on that infamous Friday night.
The NSW DPP now has copies of the police material and he will decide whether or not to recommend charges.
It’s a decision which could end the political careers of both Mr Della Bosca and Ms Neal.
