A Catholic teacher who's facing multiple sex charges has admitted to enjoying the company of one of his alleged victims but has denied taking a sexual interest in the boy.
Father Paul Raymond Evans has been charged with 20 offences dating back to the 1970's and 80's. It is alleged he abused seven boys while teaching a Sydney school for troubled teens.
Under cross examination Evans has been accused of exploiting one mother's disinterest in her son, using her absence to visit the boy out of school hours.
Mr Evans has denied he molested the teen in his dormitory bed.
