Motorcyclist sought after shots fired into shop

11/07/2008 9:16:00 AM.  |
Police are looking for a motorcyclist seen leaving the scene after shots were fired into a shop in Sydney's south.

Police called to a shop on Bay Street, Brighton-Le-Sands, at about 5pm (AEST) yesterday recovered a number of bullets from inside the premises.

They are hoping a man who witnesses saw leave the area on a motorcycle shortly after the incident may be able to help with inquiries.

He was last seen riding west along Bay Street.

Police said they did not believe the shooting was a random incident and they were investigating possible links to a similar incident on June 24.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
