The winner of Big Brother’s debut series in 2001, Ben Williams, has declined the opportunity to farewell the show that made him famous.
Williams snapped up $250,000 after beating fan favorite Sarah Marie-Fedele and Blair McDonough, and went on to run a sports agency, using the takings from the show to fund his company.
He will be the only winner of Big Brother that will not be present for the final show which airs tonight.
The bum-dancing Fedele will serve as Williams’ replacement, representing series 1 of the long running reality show.
Peter Corbett, Reggie Bird, Trevor Butler, ‘Logan twins’ Greg and David Matthew, Jamie Brooksby and Aleisha Cowcher will all be featured on the show, representing their respective years.
It has been said that Williams wanted to distance himself from the show, keen to preserve his professional reputation.
However, this desire did not stop him from selling his story to a womans magazine about his marriage to long time girlfriend Jade Robran.
"He's never wanted anything to do with the show over the years,'' a Big Brother spokesman told News Limited. "We asked him to be a part of the finale and he politely declined due to work commitments.''
