Nicole should talk to daughter 'once a week'

Will Ferrell has jokingly advised Nicole Kidman to talk to her newborn daughter “at least once a week”.

Will says his ‘Bewitched’ co-star - who gave birth to Sunday Rose, her first child with husband Keith Urban, earlier this month - should attempt to communicate with her baby once every seven days.

When asked if he had any advice for Nicole, Will said: “For me, I would advise to talk to your children, at least once a week.

"If you've got time, do it two or three times a week. But otherwise, I find the times where I let weeks and weeks go by without talking to my children, that adds up.”

Will – who can soon be seen in ‘Step Brothers’ alongside John C. Reilly – also laughed his two sons with wife Viveca Paulin, Magnus and Mattias, have not inherited their father’s comedy gene.

He added to People magazine: “No, they're not funny. They're deadly serious."
