Champion swimmer turned television personality Ian Thorpe is still hesitant to reveal the identity, and the gender, of his latest romantic involvement.
Much speculation has surrounded the sexual preference of the Superfish, and Thorpe has been defiantly flippant.
"I don't ignore it, I just don't care about it,'' he told the Sunday Telegraph last year.
But despite his dismissal of suggestions of his homosexuality, he has still shirked around the issue when discussing his new romance.
Revealing there was “someone special” in his life, Thorpe later told Who Weeekly he wasn’t sure if “It’s the one”.
His Sunday night appearance on Rove last also left much to the imagination.
When asked who he would turn gay for, Thorpe, who had previously selected the host himself, decided on Rove’s brother who was “available” according to McManus.
Rove then injected: “Don’t let the new girlfriend know, she will be horrified” to close the interview, but it did little to clarify the confusion.
