Farmer wants some strife

24/07/2008 11:51:00 AM.  | Tim Brunero
Castrating bulls, dipping sheep and fighting off foxes might sound like the most dangerous things your average farmer faces but a competitor on The Farmer Wants A Wife might soon find out a woman scorned can be just as frightening.

Enter TV farmer James who has bagged two of his “picks” on the show saying one, Cherie, is as “rough as guts” and the other, Toni, is no more than an aging “body clock”.

The farmer, who made the comments to TV Week, has decided against dating either of the women.

"I chose Cherie because I thought she was a character, but once I got to know her she was as rough as guts," James said.

"She needed a 44-gallon drum of spit to shine her up! The only reason I picked her was because I didn't have much choice. Some of the other guys had 200 women apply, but I only had 24," he said.

"Toni was the next pick - she's got her head screwed on and owns a house, but I'm really looking for someone a bit younger.

"She's 36 and when someone is that age, the old body clock is ticking. You want to know someone a couple of years before you jump into (having kids)."

His female suitors have made no comment. All eyes will be on next week’s episode of the Channel nine reality TV show.

Oh well! I suppose if you want to get a decent comment you would have to ask a decent bloke.

James the reason why you only had 24 women apply, {I'm surprised you had any} is because you are a Tosser. No woman in their right mind would even glance at you. You have to be one of the roughest Aussies I have seen. You treated Cherie and Toni with no respect. James you seriously have to take a long hard look in the mirror as you are the one who needs polishing up. I think it's back to your miserable single life with 2 tinnies stuffed up a chicken a**** for dinner alone.Good luck from Sue

And the women keep putting themselves in the position of competing for dregs like this man. Things arnt so bad out here we have to resort to vying for the attention of a loser like this surely. I wonder when he took a good long look at himself in the mirror, he is no oil painting by far.Have any women noticed how men see them selves as much better looking than they in fact are. Pity we dont have some of their ego. I wouldnt walk across the street to meet this man if he were the last on earth.
