Thieves take entire ATM in grab for cash

24/07/2008 10:19:00 AM.  |
Thieves have escaped with a bank ATM after smashing their way into a hotel, south of Adelaide.

Police said the theft was similar to another in the same area earlier this week and they were checking for links between the two incidents.

Patrols were tipped off to the latest theft by a passing motorist who noticed two men loading something into a dark coloured Mitsubishi Pajero in front of the Willunga Hotel about 5am (CST) on Thursday.

When police went to the scene they found the offenders had smashed the front doors of the hotel and made off with the ATM.

It was not disclosed how much cash was in the machine.
