Norman can't repeat British Open heroics

25/07/2008 8:27:00 AM.  | Peter Cassidy
Greg Norman's love affair with British links has hit a speed hump with the Australian veteran posting a disappointing four-over-par 75 in the opening round of the British Senior Open Championship at Royal Troon.

The Shark was a 500-1 chance when he stunned the field by finishing tied for third at the British Open last week, but has found that feat difficult to repeat.

Norman is seven shots behind joint leaders Bruce Vaughan and Eduardo Romero.
