Andy Roddick has crashed out of the Toronto Masters after being upset by Croatian teenager Marin Cilic in the third round.
The stunned American sixth seed has lost 6-4 4-6 6-4, with Roddick smashing his racket in frustration during his three-set defeat.
Reigning champion and number three seed Novak Djokovic, meanwhile, has advanced after a 6-4 6-4 win over Swede Robin Soderling, while Gilles Simon, who upset Roger Federer in the second round, has also gone through to the next round with a 6-3 6-4 win over Jose Acasuso.
