Free Tibet protest triggers Chinese anger outside the Bird's Nest

Four foreigners have been arrested outside Beijing’s national stadium after protesting against China's treatment of Tibet.

The activists, believed to be from Britain and the United States, put up two huge banners outside the iconic Bird’s Nest, which read ‘Tibet will be free’.

An accompanying sign read 'One world, one dream, free Tibet.'

The protesters belonged to the group Students for a Free Tibet, which claims the signs were up for an hour before Chinese police pulled them down.

Olympic organisers have condemned the actions, warning foreigners to obey the law.

Meantime, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has confirmed he’ll be addressing human rights issues with the Chinese government when he arrives in Beijing tomorrow.

What has it to do with the IOC if people protest. The IOC should keep their noses out of politics, they really seem to be supporting the corrupt and evil Chinese Government. It is good to see protests happening, the Chinese need their noses rubbed in their humans rights abuses. These Games are to the Chinese Tyrants what the 1936 games were to Hitler, they should not be happening.

The only protest Im making for this action by these 'free Tibet' jokers is against the Chinese government for being generally soft and not doing enought o punish them according to the full extent of Chinese law. How dare they come to Beijing and act like monkeys climbing up poles when the people of China have worked so hard and tirelessly to present the best possible Olympics to the world. Call me brainwashed, but as a Chinese I fully support the Olympics and the Chinese government.
