Kevin Rudd has made a brief stop in Busan to remember Australian troops who died during the Korean War.
The prime minister made the stop this afternoon on his way to the South Korean capital Seoul where he has a series of meetings tomorrow.
He laid a wreath at a war cemetery where the remains of 281 Australians are buried.
Mr Rudd arrived in South Korea this afternoon after four days in Beijing where he attended the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games and held talks with Chinese leaders.
He's due to have meetings with South Korea's President Lee Myung-Bak Prime Minister Han Seung-Soo and senior Korean and Australian business leaders.
Korea is Australia's fourth biggest trading partner and the two countries are currently considering whether to move towards negotiations on a free trade agreement.
