Dennis Ferguson is expected to apply for bail when he appears in a Brisbane court accused of molesting a young girl in 2005.
Ferguson, 60, will stand trial in the near future over allegations he sexually assaulted a five-year-old at her Dalby home, west of Brisbane, in November 2005.
He has been charged with one count of indecent treatment of a child under 16 years.
Police issued a warrant for Ferguson's arrest late last week after the Court of Appeal overturned a stay of proceedings against him.
Currently being monitored by Task Force Argos detectives at a secret location, Ferguson has until Tuesday morning to surrender to the warrant or face arrest.
His case will be mentioned on Tuesday in the Brisbane District Court, where it is believed he will make a bail application.
