The former Australian Idol star and Young Divas band member, Kate DeAraugo, revealed her struggle to lose weight using the Jenny Craig program lead her to withdraw from her endorsement deal with the organisation.
She told 2Day FM that she failed to drop the kilos on the weight-loss program because her body had trouble digesting the recommended food.
"I was working really hard and doing the program right and it wasn't working like it was meant to," said DeAraugo.
"It was stressing me out because I was meant to be losing weight and everyone's looking at me and it's all bad.
"I went to the doctor and my body doesn't digest certain foods well, so I decided it was bad for them and I didn't want to do bad by them."
DeAraugo seemed confused about her digestion problems. While on radio, she first stated she was unable to digest gluten - a condition known as coeliac disease - but then said she was lactose intolerant.
