Former Prime Minister John Howard could be returning to Canberra tomorrow - but it's not for good.
Mr Howard is due to receive an award at Government House in the afternoon.
He's to receive the Companion in the General Division of the Order of Australia, "for distinguished service to the Parliament of Australia, particularly as prime minister and through contributions to economic and social policy reform".
It's not clear if Mr Howard will receive the award personally, or whether someone else will represent him.
Mr Howard's former long-term staffer Arthur Sinodinos will also receive an award - Officer in the General Division.
The late independent MP Peter Andren has won a place on the list, as a Member in the General Division. His award will be received by his son, Greg Andren.
Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery will preside over tomorrow's investiture ceremonies.
