Phil Collins's whopping £25 million divorce settlement

18/08/2008 11:56:00 AM.  |

For Genesis frontman Phil Collins, love certainly hasn’t come cheap. After paying an estimated £17 million to former wife Jill Tavelman, his divorce with third wife Orianne Cevey, has set him back a whopping £25 million.

The astonishing figure paid by the British born singer and drummer is reportedly the largest divorce settlement in British showbiz history.

The split came after seven years of marriage with the Swiss born Cevey, 35.

Following the divorce, Collins has now paid out more than £42million to his ex-partners, or roughly a third of his £140 million fortune.

OMG, Phil. Didn't you learn from the first 17 million?? Did no one whisper the word "pre-nup" in your ear before you tied the knot with Orianne? I know it's damp and chilly there in England. But, a blanket to keep warm would be a lot cheaper than those pretty young things that keep taking you to the cleaners!! Leave them to us poor guys. We know how to use them without getting stung.

Now this is COURTS gone WRONG. What work or input would she have had in his work? Not like he was bereft of talent b4 she popped up. House work?? Doubt it. I always thaught laws werer to favour Victims, seems they're only there to help lawyers get fat from cases. Imagine the pay for the legal beagles on this? Phil Collins, with the money you have your always going to be a target for Miners. In with nothing out with the world?? Blind justice= judge with a seeing eyedog, photographic evedince.

loll, how many of these old codgers are going to keep losing their fortunes to pretty little young things. nick im sure she had input , lots of it. im sure phil got his moneys worth in 7 yrs. old phil would have been so blinded by ego he forgot the pre nup, he believed she reaaaaaaaaaally loved and desired him. loll, he is such a handsome stud, great catch for such a beautiful younger woman. gimme a break, she got what was owing, how many times does it take for old geezers to learn.
