Winehouse worse for wear at British V Festival

18/08/2008 9:01:00 AM.  |

Troubled star Amy Winehouse’s shaky performance at Britain’s V festival has increased concerns about the “Rehab” singers health.

Photographed only days before her scheduled performance at the Staffordshire leg of the popular concert series, Winehouse was well kept and glamorous.

But after taking to the stage staggered and disheveled, it was clear to the audience she had taken a turn for the worse.

After keeping the crowd and her band waiting for an extended period, Winehouse was greeted by boos and abuse from the audience, and throughout the performance the taunts became worse.

Dedicating “Wake Up Alone” to her prison-bound husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is serving a 27-month prison sentence, Winehouse was booed again.

The performance was peppered with missed lyrics, coughs and splutters, and inaudible ramblings from the grubby looking 24-year-old, who missed last years performance due to ill health.

Her V festival performance is set to be her third last before she takes a break from touring to focus on her health.
