Domino's pizza garlic bread recalled after turning blue

20/08/2008 7:39:00 AM.  | AAP
A major pizza supplier's been left without any garlic bread, following a nation-wide recall of a batch that turns blue when it's heated.

Brisbane-based company AGB International has recalled 13 brands of garlic bread, leaving Domino's Pizza temporarily without its most popular side-dish.

Shoppers who bought brands including Homebrand, Black and Gold and You'll Love Coles in major supermarkets last week have also been advised to throw the bread away.

The company's told News Limited it doesn't believe the breads are a public danger, and the recall's more in the interests of quality control.

AGB doesn't yet know why the bread turns blue, but believes the problem is isolated to a batch of garlic it's no longer using.

Anyone with queries about the recall has been advised to call 1800 645 515.
