Anthony Mundine loves trading verbal blows, but Australia's former world boxing champ Lovemore Ndou has landed a scorching uppercut squarely on the trash-talker’s chin.
"I'm old enough and small enough for Mundine to see me as a prospective opponent," Ndou told News Limited, having a tongue-in-cheek dig at Mundine's rather dubious selection of opponents.
Ndou, who held the same IBF junior-welterweight title as Kostya Tszyu, admits he would be giving away up to 8kg on middleweight Mundine but insists he would gladly "give him a boxing lesson".
"It's not a matter of size, it's a matter of skill," Ndou said.
"I would love to fight Mundine. He says he wants to take on the best middleweights (72kg) in the world, but let's see how he goes against a junior-welterweight (64kg) first. In terms of skill, I would give him a boxing lesson.
"Mundine looked dreadful against (Japanese fighter) Crazy Kim last month."
Nduo, 37, failed in his quest to regain his world title against American Paulie Malignaggi in May.
