28/08/2008 3:40:00 PM.  | Nick Markham
Triple gold medallist Stephanie Rice has been forced to pull out of a promotional tour after being diagnosed with mild pneumonia.

Rice told hundreds of fans at Myer's in Brisbane today she's been ordered to rest after an illness picked up in Beijing intensified upon her return to Australia.

"I haven't been well since Beijing and it's gotten a lot worse since coming home," said Rice.

"Perth is not what I should be doing right now. I really want to go to Perth but I can't until I get better.

"(The doctors said) I have the early stages of pneumonia which a lot people probably have," Rice said.

Rice an former boyfriend Eamon Sullivan have been touring the country promoting underwear, and were due to head to Perth next.

The pair have already been to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane since arriving home on Tuesday.
