The SoHo loft apartment where Heath Ledger was found dead this year is now in the rental market.

The Dark Knight star who died in January paid more than $22,000 before he died and it is now listed for $26,000 a month.

A broker spoke to the New York Post at the time of Heath’s demise.

"You don't wait around in a hot rental market like this.

"As ghoulish as it sounds, people will rent that place in a heartbeat."

Heath began renting the SoHo apartment at 419-421 Broome Street in September last year after playing the role of Joker in the hit Batman movie.

The apartment has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, an office, a laundry room, a gourmet kitchen, an 80-square-foot balcony and a fireplace.
