31/08/2008 12:00:00 AM.  |
A 19-year-old is in a critical condition after losing his balance and falling from Darling Harbour's pedestrian walkway in Sydney.

Police say he was sitting on the handrail at the Cockle Bay end of the overpass just after 11pm (AEST)on Saturday when he lost his balance and fell about 10m.

He suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police do not believe foul play was involved but are looking into whether alcohol was a factor.
