‘Feeling well’ Dalai Lama to leave hospital

1/09/2008 9:54:00 AM.  | LIVENEWS.com.au
The Dalai Lama will leave hospital today, after suffering abdominal discomfort and exhaustion.

The 73-year-old has undergone tests - a spokesman says he’s now feeling well.

The Dalai Lama had just returned from an 11 day trip to France, and was admitted to Lilavati Hospital, in Mumbai, shortly after his return.

He was forced to cancel trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

The Dalai Lama spends the majority of the year travelling around the world, teaching Buddhism and highlighting the struggle of Tibetans for greater freedom in China.
